Our beliefs
The Bible
The Bible is the only inspired, infallible, inerrant, authoritative Word of God. The Bible is God’s word to all mankind. It was written by man under the direct guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe what the Bible says to be the absolute truth. The Bible is applicable to our daily lives and we live by the truths in it.
Trinity
God has existed in perfect communion and relationship with Himself for all eternity. We believe there is only one eternal, almighty and perfect God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe in this mystery of God that He is one, yet three distinct persons. Each member of the Trinity serves different purposes, yet they are equal in power and authority.
The Father
God is the creator of the Universe. He is Holy, all powerful, all knowing, never changing, and present everywhere. He is the source of all life, and it is in Him that we live, exist, and have our being. God is good. He is the source of all good in the world. He is the same, yesterday, today and forever. He is Love, He is compassionate and He is and has always been faithful to His people. His word and promises never change. He is the eternal King and also worthy of our worship, trust, and praise.
The Son
Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. He is fully man, yet fully God. He came down from Heaven, took on flesh and lived a perfect, sinless life so that He could take our place to atone for our sin and the consequences we faced. He died on the Cross for us and defeated death in His resurrection. He is the only way to the Father. Anyone who believes in Him has access to eternal life through His resurrection.
The Holy Spirit
The third person of the Trinity, The Holy Spirit is poured out on all those who believe in the Son. He was present during the creation of the world and God created everything through Him. He convicts people of their sin, the coming judgement, and God’s righteousness. The Holy Spirit also justifies, comforts, sanctifies, and regenerates us to live a holy life for God. His presence gives us the assurance of our relationship with God and our adoption into the family of God as sons and daughters.
Man
Man was created in the image of God and is the most beloved of His creation. Man is the object of His unending love and mercy. Man is an eternal being and was created to have constant fellowship with his Creator and worship Him. As a result of sin man is separated from God and cannot have a relationship with a Holy God on his own without the atoning work of Christ. Every human being has a soul and every person is uniquely created by God, therefore is worthy of respect, dignity and love.
Sin
Man was created to fully know and enjoy God, but because of his willful disobedience and rejection of God’s word and love, sin entered the world, bringing with it sickness, condemnation, and death. Sin is breaking God’s heart and His Law. All of creation suffers due to the consequences of man’s sin. The result of sin is death and eternal separation from God. All have sinned and fallen short. Forgiveness of sin comes only through Christ’s redemptive work on the Cross to all those who believe in Him.
Eternity
Heaven and Hell are real places that will last forever. In one of these two places every human is destined to go since man was created to exist forever, his spirit never dies. God wants everyone to be with Him in Heaven. Everyone who puts their faith in Jesus and repents of their sin will be saved.
Salvation
Salvation is God’s gift to mankind, it cannot be earned by works or our own efforts. The blood of Jesus, shed for us on the Cross is the only way to Salvation and forgiveness of sin. Jesus’ blood covers us and washes away our sin and we have confidence in his resurrection to come boldly before the throne of God as sons and daughters.
The Church
The Church is the active, living, breathing, Body of Christ. Christ gave His life for His Church. Every believer is a part of the global body of Christ. The Church is a family of believers unified through grace and faith in Jesus.
